What In The World Would We Do Without Music?

What on the earth would you and I do if there was no such factor as music?

Are you able to think about a world with out music? No songs, no tunes, no rock, no roll, no jazz, no hymns, no boogie-woogie, no country-western, no symphonies. No singing within the bathe. No whistling Dixie.

Lovers would not have songs to romance to. There could be no such factor as "our tune." Sinatra could not fly to the moon. Elvis could not complain about folks stepping on his blue suede footwear. Tony Bennett must write a letter about how he left his coronary heart in San Francisco. Willie would possibly go on the highway once more, however and not using a guitar. And Ray Charles would look fairly unusual up on stage and not using a piano telling us that Georgia is on his thoughts.

Then when the marriage day arrived, what would the bride march down the isle to? A poem? Silence? Applause? And when the completely happy couple marched out of the church collectively, would they do it to the bark of neighborhood canines, or maybe all the marriage visitors speaking directly?

And on the reception, what would they dance to? The Funky Rooster simply is not the identical with out music. Since rhythm is a part of music, no drums would even be allowed.

And the honeymoon I suppose would happen with radio information on, or maybe the academic channel accompanied by the drone of an air-conditioner.

When child arrives, can we lull her to sleep with a studying from Shakespeare? Or maybe random readings from the dictionary or encyclopedia? Might we bore her to sleep with phrases?

Nursery rhymes must be chanted or recited as an alternative of sung. College music packages would in fact be non-existent, as would college choirs and orchestras and bands. When the varsity soccer crew performs, there could be no college battle tune. Cheerleaders must cheer and dance minus any music.

And when these birthdays roll round, we must all recite collectively in a monotone "completely happy birthday to you."

And when obligation calls, what would troopers march to? What would take the place of music in parades, since there could be no marching bands? John Philip Sousa would have needed to get a day job.

And on the 4th of July there could be no patriotic songs - simply speeches. At Christmas time there could be no Christmas carols. No rousing gospel music at Easter, no hymns in church.

And might you think about radio with out music? Nothing however information and speak reveals and bla bla bla bla....

I do not find out about you, however I've had it as much as right here simply eager about it. I am heading for the piano now to have fun the truth that our Creator gave us the fantastic and provoking and uplifting present of music that all of us take with no consideration.

I believe I will play a nursery rhyme or two, then the marriage march, then Silent Night time, then Auld Lang Syne, then Fur Elise, then the blues, then just a little jazz, then... after which...
